#FIA #Formula1 #SafetyCar

Since the Miami Grand Prix, the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile decided that the #F1SafetyCar and #MedicalCars are powered by sustainable fuel.
Sustainable #fuel continues to be a key part of the ESG efforts for Formula 1 on track to reach its NetZero by 2030 target.

The safety and medical cars, provided by #MercedesAMG and #AstonMartinLagonda, are using 40% sustainable fuel at every #GrandPrix for the rest of the 2024 season.

🔵The current F1 #hybrid power units already use E10 fuel containing 10% renewable ethanol, and Formula 1 utilizes alternative energy solutions, such as HVO fuel, to power its events and logistics.

🔵 #Formula2 and #Formula3 have been using a 55% advanced #sustainable fuel since the start of the 2023 season

🔵 From 2026 all F1 cars will use 100% advanced sustainable fuels as part of the #nextgeneration of power unit regulations.

The Aston Martin Vantage is boasting 510 horsepower; this powerhouse accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in a breathtaking 3.5 seconds, a feat that mirrors the acceleration of the F1 cars it #safeguards.

The Safety vehicle isn’t just any car; it’s a marvel of #engineering that seamlessly blends performance and safety; it’s a strategic element that can #reshape the entire race... but this interesting topic is for another time...
